CORRIGENDUM No.3 

RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF SUB-INSPECTOR IN CADRES OF DISTRICT POLICE, ARMED POLICE, INVESTIGATION & TO THE POST OF INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (IN THE RANK OF SUB-INSPECTOR) IN INTELLIGENCE CADRE IN PUNJAB POLICE-2021

1. In partial modification of Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021, the examination for Recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in cadres of District Police, Armed Police, Investigation and to the post of intelligence officer (in the rank of Sub-inspector) in Intelligence cadre shall now be conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) pattern in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) mode instead of the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. As such, the words Computer Based Test/Examination used in Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021 be read as Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Test/Examination.

2. In order to provide opportunity to aspirants, who may not have applied earlier in view of the exam being scheduled in Computer Based Test mode. Fresh applications, with prescribed fee as given in Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021, are invited from such aspirants, who fulfilled the eligibility criteria as mentioned in Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021.

3. Further, if a candidate, who had applied earlier, wishes to make corrections in the data entered in the previous application, she/he may apply afresh with the prescribed fee. in such a case her/his latest application shall be considered as final. 

4. The recruitment portal shall remain open with effect from 4.00 PM on 9 August, 2022 to 11.55 PM on 30 August 2022 for receiving fresh applications from the above-mentioned aspirants.

5. All other applicants, who do not wish to make any corrections in the application submitted by them earlier, need not apply again. All candidates shall, however, be issued fresh Admit cards for exams, the date(s) for which shall be notified separately.

6. with regard to Note 1 to point no. 5.3.1 of Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July 2027, it is clarified that the date for fulfilling eligibility conditions with respect to educational qualifications is 27 july 2021, which was the last date of submission of online application as per the said Advertisement No. 1. All eligibility conditions and cut-off date for fulfilling eligibility conditions remain the same as mentioned in Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July 2021.

7. with respect to point no. 7.2 of Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021, it is clarified that no normalisation shall apply in case each paper is conducted for all candidates in one go.

8. in partial modification of point no. 13(xix) of Advertisement No. 1 dated 06 July, 2021 regarding the online application procedure it is notified that the last date & time for submission of online application by aspirants/candidates as mentioned in paras 2 and 3 above shall be 11.55 PM on 30 August 2022.
